Peugeot has just released its contender for this year's Le Mans 24 Hours, and it's named the 908. This new model makes use of a V8 version rather than its original V12 turbodiesel, and according to Peugeot, the new motor has a 90-degree angle that can produce some 542-horsepower. The 908 was derived from the car that was triumphant at the 2009 Le Mans, but unfortunately it had failed to repeat the success last year.
In order to fit in with sportscar racing's new regulations, the car has a closed cockpit and a prominent 'fin' along the center of the rear body work. Peugeot has also confirmed its choice of drivers for the Le Mans race even though the race itself isn't until June.
