Luxury SUV buyers are spoiled for choice these days. Not only are there a ton of local and imported options, but manufacturers are bending over backwards to offer new buyers a range of options to customize their cars to suit their own personal tastes. BMW calls this its Individual program.

Last August, BMW finally decided to make its Individual program available for its highly popular SUV range, including the BMW X4, a compact luxury crossover SUV. The X4 has been offered in many exclusive forms, such as the Dark Shadow Edition, and more recently, the Frozen Edition, and now Brazilian fans can get their hands on another rare X4: the BMW X4 M40i Individual Edition.

BMW is keeping this model highly exclusive by offering only 24 examples for purchase at a price of R$616,950 ($132,421). The cars, manufactured at the US-based Spartanburg plant, will feature unique exterior parts such as an individual grille, dual-laser headlights, a more aggressive front bumper design, and a set of exclusive 21-inch wheels.

Inside the cabin, this special X4 features two high-resolution 12.3-inch screens, automatic climate control with three zones and the sunroof, and driver assistance features like Parking Assistant Plus, a Surround View camera system, and cross-traffic assistance. The Individual also comes with amazing tech such as the Intelligent Personal Assistant (IPA), which allows drivers to adjust the ambient lighting, open or close windows, or adjust infotainment settings.

Not only is the X4 M40i Individual edition good to look at and loaded with features, but it also packs a decent punch. Under the hood you'll find a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V8 engine producing 387 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain allows the X4 M40i to sprint to 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds, and it will top out at close to 155 mph. With the Individual program on offer across the BMW SUV range, we're hoping to see many more special edition X cars in the future.
