To most, Fiat is best known for the cute little 500, a city car that can trace its roots back to 1957, not including the Topolino before that. This little cutie has enjoyed a massive comeback in recent years and has seen numerous spin-offs come to market, including the 500X, which is the last remaining Fiat in the US. Fiat, which is currently undergoing a major shift to electric vehicles, can't seem to leave the little 500 alone, and recently announced yet another special edition. The new 500 La Prima by Bocelli features a banging JBL sound system, some premium features, and will only be available in European markets. We can still window shop though.

So what makes this special edition Fiat 500 stand out from the rest of the 500 family? The 500 La Prima by Bocelli is the first city car in the world to feature JBL's "Virtual Venues" technology. This high-tech audio system features 302 watts of power and has been fine-tuned by none other than world-famous tenor Andrea Bocelli. His son, Matteo Bocelli's upcoming soundtrack was also used as the soundtrack for the new car's ad campaign. Can you get any more Italian than that?

"The resounding success of the New 500 La Prima, the top of the range of our electric icon, made us realize that our customers desire a product that is definitely premium, Italian and iconic. In short, they want the best of Made in Italy," said Olivier Francois, Fiat CEO and Stellantis Global CMO.

The 500 La Prima by Bocelli is offered in both convertible and hatchback body styles and six colors, including Onyx Black, Ocean Green, and Rose Gold. The La Prima is the top-of-the-range trim for the 500 family, which offers a standard features list that includes a 10.25-inch high-definition touchscreen infotainment system, Ice Beige monogram fabric upholstery, LED headlights, and 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The 500 is efficient too: its batteries will manage up to 199 miles of range on the WLTP cycle.

Speaking of the specialness of pairing exquisite sound with a silent EV, Francois said, "It is precisely in Italy that they can find the highest expression of art, beauty and music. For this reason, together with Maestro Andrea Bocelli, we have created the ultimate listening experience to enhance the silence of an electric car. Thanks to JBL's exclusive Virtual Venues technology, we provide our customers with an immersive and tailored audio experience... to bring the most authentic Italian spirit to the world."
