New Spy Shots Show Bentley SUV is Coming Along Nicely

Spy Shots / 49 Comments

Will hit showrooms in 2016.

It has yet to be spied in the revolutionary new camouflage Bentley recently revealed, but these latest spy shots of the marque's highly-anticipated SUV show the yet-unnamed model is shaping up to a big hit for the British carmaker. Spied during hot weather testing in southern Europe, the prototype is sitting very low to the ground indicating it has been fully loaded to give its brakes and cooling a proper work out on the mountain roads.

The luxury offroader will be underpinned by VW's third-gen SUV platform that will also be shared with the Lamborghini Urus, next-gen Audi Q7 and VW Touareg. Bentley claims the SUV will be one of the fastest on the road with a 200 mph top speed. Despite the heavy body cladding, we can see the design of the 4x4 takes much from the controversial EXP 9 F concept. Bentley's wireframe grille and twin round headlamps are also certain to feature on the finished article. Crewe has confirmed 3,500 units will be built annually, while Bentley says 2,000 pre-orders have already been taken. Codenamed Falcon, expect to see the Bentley SUV in showrooms in 2016.
