The 2011 New York Show will be hosting Suzuki's new concepts that will be previewing the automaker's new directions for expanding the Kizashi line. The concepts are known as the EcoCharge and the Apex Concept. The Apex Concept sports an aggressive fascia and superbike-inspired graphic. Meanwhile, power is drawn from a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that can produce between 275- to 300-horsepower.
The Apex is also equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, LED fog lights, 19-inch wheels and an interior finished in a combination of black leather and blue Alcantara. The EcoCharge Hybrid Concept, on the other hand, promotes a gentler appearance and design language. The power is drawn from a combination 2.0-liter inline-four producing 144-horsepower and a 20-horsepower electric motor, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid is expected to give a 30 mpg, city and highway rating, combined.
