Behold, the first images of the next-generation C63 AMG sedan, the performance flagship of the completely new compact executive C-Class range Mercedes will roll out next year. Being brought in line with the rest of the AMG family, the C63 will be powered by a twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 instead of the current naturally-aspirated 6.3-liter V8. There are four states of tune for this engine at present, and the C63 is expected to match the 525 horsepower produced by the E63 and CLS63 AMG models.

The heavily camouflaged prototype is sporting wider bumpers and wheelarches, bigger air intakes, AMG-specific rims and bigger brakes over the current model it is due to replace. As development continues we expect future test mules of the super sports sedan to drop some camo and reveal a quad exhaust.
