Next-Generation S-Class to go All-Hybrid in U.S.

Hybrid

According to reports, Mercedes- Benz has boldly decided to go hybrid with its next-generation S-Class lineup in America, with the exception the AMG models. The cruiser is expected to roll up in 2012, and it is understood that the gas-only S-Class models will be only kept for those high-performance AMGs. Presently, Benz only offers a single gas-electric, the S400 hybrid.

Interestingly, the S400 is doing very well in the States, particularly among Hollywood's green-minded residents. Hopefully, this trend will continue to spread as the hybrid powertrain starts to spread throughout the Mercedes-Benz lineup.
