Speaking to Motoring, a Nissan designer has hinted that the next GT-R's design could be inspired by the stunning Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo, the virtual mouthwatering sports car that Nissan presented earlier this year.

You can expect to see the next-gen GT-R get a toned-down version of the 2020 Vision GT car," said the source. The GT-R will be powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6, with additional power coming from an electric motor, producing roughly 775 horsepower. But don't hold your breath; the next generation isn't expected to hit showrooms before 2018.
