The 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed has wrapped up and aside from the memorable reveals, head-spinning stunts, pitiful crashes, and facepalm-inducing donuts, there were a few notable moments of automotive glory. This is the onboard recording of one such moment. Coming to us courtesy of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, aka the Silver Star's Formula 1 division, is this video of famed racing driver Nico Rosberg and his Mercedes F1 W05 making a run up the hill.

As you'd expect from one of the fastest track cars in the world and one of the few talented drivers who can actually pilot it correctly, the crowd gets one hell of a show. Not only does Rosberg nail the throttle and whip around corners at speed, but he has a bit of fun with the hugely powerful engine.

Using a pair of rain tires (normal F1 car tires are slicks), Rosberg gets violent with the car, stomping on the brake pedal so that the tires lock up and emit smoke. He also makes sure to use the weaker grip of the rain tires to his advantage, spinning around and doing donuts both on and off the tarmac. It looks like a hell of a lot of fun and makes us wish it was Rosberg at the helm of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS when it made its debut run up the hill during the festival. Thanks for making us jealous.
