The SEMA Show consistently attracts a lot of celebrities who come along to show off their custom-made vehicles.

Since they literally have millions to spend, their cars are usually more impressive than the average modified Civic with a purple end pipe.

Country music star, Keith Urban, brought his 1969 Mustang that he's owned since 2008 to this year's show. This restomod was an extraordinary gift from his wife, Nicole Kidman - as if being married to Nicole Kidman is not enough of a gift. Oddly, legend has it that Urban wasn't too happy with the car, so he phoned another celebrity you might possibly have heard of... Jay Leno. Leno had a few contacts at Ford, who helped Urban get his 1969 'Stang just right.

To start with, Urban got rid of the black paintwork. Instead, he settled for the darkest shade of blue, which turned out to be a blue inspired by the Mariana Trench. It is still quite close to black, but you can see the blue and purple come through under the proper lighting.

Other upgrades include Forgeline wheels inspired by the wheels found on the 2021 Mustang Mach 1, adjustable Bilstein dampers at all four wheels. It has massive six-piston Wilwood brake calipers in the front and four-piston calipers at the rear to keep it all under control. Urban even went as far as replacing the front and rear subframes.

Keith seems to be a big fan of comfort, as Ford ripped out the entire interior and fitted new sound deadening. To further enhance the comfort, they built custom leather seats and added air conditioning.

For power, Keith chose a 5.0-liter Mustang engine with a Roush supercharger bolted on top. It produces 700 hp and is mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission. As you'd expect, it makes a healthy racket, as can be heard in the video below. Skip to the 10:20 mark to listen to it roar.

Not all celebrities have great taste in cars, however. Justin Bieber's Rolls Royce Wraith is a rolling disaster, and it's just one of the ten worst celebrity cars we've ever seen. On the plus side, some celebs do have good taste in cars. Wayne Gretzky has a 2006 Ford GT painted in a Gulf Oil-inspired livery. Urban's is one of the better ones we've seen. File this one under 'tastefully modified'.
