Nissan and Toyota Announce Pricing for Micra, Range

Nissan and Toyota set their 2012 prices for the Micra, Yaris and other models.

Rival Japanese automakers Nissan and Toyota have recently announced pricing for some of their 2012 models. Several have jumped up in price drastically, such as the Toyota Sienna SE minivan which is bumped up by some $2,090. Nissan's new Micra DIG-S (Direct Injection Gasoline Supercharged) runs a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine that gets an impressive 68.9mpg. The fuel-efficient engine only puts out 95g/km CO2 but still manages to deliver 97hp.

The new Nissan Micra DIG-S will go on sale this September and will be priced at £11,150. Toyota's 2012 models prices are as follows: the 3-door Yaris will begin at $14,115 (up $950 from the 2011 model). The 5-door top-of-the-line Yaris will run $17,200 (up $100 from the 2011 model). The base Sequoia will price at $40,930 and go up to $61,305. The new Tundra starts at $27,115 and prices up to $43,345 for the 4x4 CrewMax Limited. The Sienna starts at $24,520 for the front-wheel-drive standard model and goes to $40,570 for the all-wheel-drive Limited Edition.
