With most auto shows canceled in 2020, most car reveals this year have been hosted online. One exception was the Beijing Motor Show, but visitor numbers would have still been down compared to the previous year. This prompted Porsche to launch a dedicated website taking users who couldn't attend the show a virtual tour of their motor show stand and find out more about the automaker's latest models.

Taking this concept a stage further, Nissan Canada has launched a new online platform that brings the personal showroom experience to the home. Dubbed Nissan Studio, the interactive website showcases Nissan's latest models.

For a more tailored personal shopping experience, users can use live streaming to speak with experts in real-time, ask questions in a private set up, or participate in one-on-one sessions or live group video tours of specific models available in English and French.

"The consumer experience has changed significantly over the past year, and we've had to adapt how we connect with our customers in response," said Adam Paterson, director of marketing at Nissan Canada.

"The Nissan Studio signifies our evolution into this space, allowing us to bring the best of the showroom into the homes of Canadians everywhere. We're incredibly excited about this new offering and giving everyone the opportunity to experience our newest models without ever needing to leave home."

Currently, Nissan Studio features the new 2021 Rogue and the 2020 Sentra, but more models will be added in early 2021. By scheduling a virtual one-to-one demonstration with a Nissan expert or joining a live group broadcast, visitors can get up close with Nissan's latest models and learn about their new features and design updates.

Designed by marketing firm Kubik, Nissan Studio was designed as a "futuristic product salon and broadcast set in one". Technology and accessories are also showcased in the virtual space, replicating the showroom experience. Accessible at NissanStudio.ca, Nissan Studio will be live from December 1, 2020, until March 31, 2021. Nissan hasn't said if it plans to launch the service in the US.
