Nissan Compact Sports Concept

2011 Shanghai Auto Show

Most of the cars built exclusively for the Chinese market are terrible. Unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show recently was one very notable exception. Called the Compact Sport Concept, it is basically a Nissan Micra with a 188hp 1.6-liter turbo four stuffed under the hood. Shoehorning a more powerful engine into a small car is always a sure way to get our attention, but there is a downside. There is no manual transmission option, only a CVT.
