Nissan GT-R Breaks $100,000 Barrier

That's inflation for you.

Pricing has been announced for the 2015 Nissan GT-R and for the first time, the original supercar killer starts at over $100,000. Nissan says the GT-R Premium will start from $103,365 and the GT-R Black Edition from $113,105. Those prices include a destination fee of $1,595 – the highest of any car in the US and a significant jump from last year’s $1,000. The GT-R Track Edition will join the lineup in the summer carrying last year’s price tag of $117,305 and will be shortly followed by the GT-R Nismo, which is yet to be priced.

All models come powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 mated to a six-speed dual clutch transmission. The Premium model now sports LED-infused headlights, a retuned suspension and upgraded interior. The Black Edition adds a carbon-fiber rear spoiler, RAYS alloys and leather-wrapped Recaro sears. The Track Edition comes with a front spoiler, carbon-fiber air ducts and trunk lid, a specially-tuned suspension and high-grip seats.
