The sad truth is that the Nissan GT-R Nismo is sort of a final wrap of the current R35 generation. Some time in the next couple of years a replacement will arrive, and all reports indicate it'll make use of hybrid technologies to improve both performance and fuel economy. Before all that goes down, however, the GT-R Nismo needs to be driven and the crew over at The Garage Guy managed to score one of the first test spins during last month's Tokyo Motor Show.

Supposedly managing a 7:08.679 lap time at the Nurburgring, the GT-R Nismo is without question fast – even when carting around our somewhat porky host here. Still, the dude is beyond lucky to have the opportunity to drive this thing – especially in its native Japan.
