Not to outdone by the unveiling of both the Acura NSX Concept-GT and the Lexus LF-CC racer, Nissan has released photos of its own GT Series competitor, the GT-R Nismo GT500. Currently undergoing testing, the racer also strongly hints at the upcoming road-going version, the GT-R Nismo. For now, however, Nissan hasn't released any specifics regarding powertrain and performance of its upcoming race car, but it will be on display later this year at the Fuji Speedway at the Nismo Festival.

The GT-R Nismo itself will more than likely have its official debut this November at the Tokyo Motor Show. Based on what we're seeing, it's evidently clear that Nissan, Lexus and Acura are prepping race cars that will meet DTM regulations in order to compete in events across Europe. In other words, the likes of BMW and Audi will soon have some serious new competition.
