Winning college football's top prize has its benefits. Like your pick of any NFL team you want to play for...and starring in a car commercial.
The Heisman Trophy is awarded annually at the end of the college football season to the greatest player of the year. Nissan has partnered with the Heisman Trophy Trust for some time now and has just released a series of adverts, each of which star past award winners along with a new model the Japanese automaker wants us red-blooded, football-loving Americans to purchase. The series entitled Heisman House features six episodes, the best three of which we have added for your viewing pleasure.
The videos feature the 370Z Roadster, the Altima, Leaf, Pathfinder and Titan. The first video is our favorite, as it shows Ohio State alum Archie Griffin rubbing a man from "That State Up North's" face in his two Heisman Trophies. Griffin, it's worth noting, is the only player to ever win the award more than once.
The second clip features last year's Heisman winner Robert Griffin III trimming the bushes of the mansion whilst being critiqued by the 2009 laureate Mark Ingram.
12 Heisman winners in total appear in the adverts, and the final one we will bring you features Tim Brown hanging out with Sean Astin, best known for his role in the movie college football film classic "Rudy". The two Notre Dame "alums" have a nice chat before Rudy realizes he's had enough.
