A new Star Wars film is out soon, so you know what that means. Yes, Nissan has created yet another Star Wars-themed concept car as part of its ongoing partnership with Lucasfilm - this time to promote this month's release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, starring Alden Ehrenreich. Based on the 2018 Nissan Rogue, the custom crossover is inspired by the Millennium Falcon and features a number of design cues from Han Solo's iconic starship. Too bad Nissan didn't base the concept on the GT-R, which could make the Kessel run much faster.

The Japanese automaker claims its Millennium Falcon-inspired Rogue is "the most extensive Star Wars-themed Nissan custom show vehicle build to date, practically appearing as though it flew right off the screen." Nissan worked with concept designers at Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic before experts at Vehicle Effects bring it to life. The result is impressive, "most impressive," to quote Darth Vader. The one-off Rogue's exterior features exquisite handcrafted aluminum body panels with details replicating the look of the fastest ship in the galaxy. Nissan has also added 3D-printed components, a roof-mounted radar dish and laser cannon look like they were lifted straight from the movie set.

Even the multi-pane windshield mimics the design of the Millennium Falcon. At the rear, a "subspace-hyperdrive unit" spans the entire width of the Rogue and glows blue, while three high-mounted Bose speakers and an 18-inch Bose subwoofer play sound effects from the movie. Inside, the interior isn't quite as extravagant. It's largely the same as the standard model, but Nissan says it has added a center-mounted "hyperdrive" console as well as buttons, lights and sound effects inspired by the Millennium Falcon's cockpit.

Nissan hasn't supplied any technical details, but the one-off Rogue is likely powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder developing 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque paired to a continuously variable transmission and a front- or all-wheel drive system. This isn't the first time Nissan has created a custom Star Wars-themed car. To promote the release of Rogue One in 2016, Nissan launched a special 'Rogue One Star Wars Edition' version of the Rogue crossover limited to 5,400 units. Last year, the Japanese automaker also created several Star Wars-themed concepts promoting the release of The Last Jedi.
