Nissan Reveals Two New Images Of The Chunky-Looking 2016 Maxima

Teaser

But let's reserve final styling judgement until the official reveal.

It made a cameo appearance in that touchy Super Bowl commercial last Sunday night, and now Nissan has revealed a pair of fresh images of its all-new 2016 Maxima. No other details have been announced just yet but Nissan did say the official live debut will take place this April at the New York Auto Show. The Japanese automaker’s new US flagship will supposedly carry on the tradition of being the "4-door sports car," but we’re still a bit unsure about the exterior styling.

It’s not horrible and we’re only able to judge it based on a couple photos so far, but from these angles it’s looking kind of chunky. Nissan specifically points out the V-motion front end and unique "floating" roof, two new design elements that first appeared on the 2015 Murano. More details are bound to come in the near future. For now, your thoughts.
