The regular Nissan Sentra is a decent, but unexciting economy car. Then there's the Sentra Nismo Concept, which could potentially make production. Having just debuted at the LA Auto Show, Nissan describes its styling upgrades as "somewhat understated – more sophisticated and confident than 'in-your-face' boy racer." Fair enough, but we happen to really like the look, notably those typical Nismo styling bits like white exterior paint, red trim, aerodynamic side mirror covers, front splitter, rear diffuser and dark chrome trim.

It actually looks menacing. Power comes from the Juke Nismo's 1.8-liter turbocharged four that's good for an estimated 240 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. The engine is even paired to a six-speed manual gearbox. There's also a limited-split differential to make sure power is directed to the road surface. Riding on a set of 19" wheels, it also sports red-painted Brembo brakes calipers. The interior features Recaro seats with black leather and Alcantara trim. Alcantara also covers the steering wheel and shift knob. The rest of the dash has chrome accents and satin carbon-fiber finish. So will Nissan green light the Sentra Nismo? We certainly hope so.
