Lego has revealed a new addition to the Speed Champions series, namely a Nissan BNR34 Skyline GT-R based on the example that Paul Walker's character drove in 2003's 2 Fast 2 Furious. For many Skyline fans, this film and this particular version of the Skyline ignited their passion, and since real R34s are so expensive - especially when they were driven by Paul Walker himself - this is the closest most of us can ever get to the real thing.

The new set has been listed by a German toy store called JB Spielwaren, but it's sadly not yet available to the public.

The set is aimed at individuals aged 9 and over and is made up of 319 bricks. It retails for a recommended price of €24.99 (around $26), despite the fact that it is detailed enough to feature the correct license plate from the film, the hard-line over the front-mounted intercooler, and even a nitrous oxide bottle alongside a Lego version of Brian O'Conner. If you've already got the Lego version of the Dodge Charger driven by the character of Dominic Toretto in the original film, this is the perfect addition to your collection. Sadly, you can't have it in time for Christmas, as preorders will only be fulfilled in January 2023.

Interestingly, this is only the second Nissan model to be licensed by Lego. The first was the R35 Nissan GT-R Nismo, which, coincidentally, was also the first Japanese car to be licensed by the Danish company. We'd love to see the toy company produce more models; the Nissan Z's taillights look like they'd be easy to recreate in Lego form, but older Z models would also be welcome. For now, all we can do is wait.
