The Japanese automaker is ready to unveil their latest Pathfinder concept at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show next week, and to get us all excited Nissan has revealed a couple of images of the crossover's front and rear end. Judging by what Nissan's luxury arm Infiniti did last year with the JX crossover, there's a strong chance the Pathfinder at Detroit will be almost identical to the production models set to hit North American showrooms next fall.
There seems to be a move towards a more modern and less rugged look than the current offering and of the new 7-seater model Nissan says: "[it] takes all of Pathfinder's traditional SUV hallmarks and wraps them in a new platform and dramatic new aerodynamic design." This translates to: the current body-on-frame construction has been abandoned for a unibody design that will turn the Pathfinder into a crossover. There's no other information or pictures to share at this juncture, but as soon as there is we'll write them up.
