Nissan Titan and Frontier Midnight Edition Revealed

Special Edition

Just in time for today's total solar eclipse.

Nissan has taken advantage of today’s total solar eclipse to announce that its custom Midnight Edition package has been extended to include the Titan, Titan XD, and Frontier. The trio of trucks joins the Altima, Murano, Pathfinder, Rogue and Sentra that got the treatment at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, as well as the Maxima, in receiving the Midnight Edition, which Nissan claims sell two times faster than the standard models.

“Following the tremendous response to the original Maxima SR Midnight Edition, we’ve created a complete portfolio of the popular blacked-out Midnight Edition look among our core Nissan sedan, crossover and SUV models,” said Billy Hayes of Nissan North America. “We expect the strong customer appeal to continue with the expansion of the Midnight Edition package to our Titan, Titan XD and Frontier pickups.” The Titan and Titan XD Midnight Editions feature a range of special touches, including blacked-out grille, darkened headlights, black fog light finishers, black side mirrors and door handles, and black badging. The 20-inch alloys are, yep you guessed it, painted black, while the interior is trimmed in charcoal.

Both Titans come available in Magnetic Black, Gun Metallic or Pearl White. The Midnight Edition package is available on Crew Cab SV and SL grade 4x4 (4x2 models also for the Titan) and only with the Cummins V8 on the Titan XD. The Frontier also gets a host of blacked-out parts, including a gloss black grille and 18-inch alloys, semi-gloss black step rails, body-color bumpers, and black badging. The Midnight Edition is available on Crew Cab 4x2 and 4x4 (fitted with the auto box), with buyers getting the choice of Magnetic Black, Gun Metallic and Glacier White exterior colors. Set to roll out at the end of fall, prices have yet to be finalized but should be made available prior to launch.
