The guy is obviously way too talented to handle.
Furious 7 has so far brought in around $1.5 billion, thus making the franchise the top priority for Universal Pictures. Furious 8 already has a release date for April 2017 and the cast is being lined up with the script writing underway. Obviously star-producer Vin Diesel will be returning, and that's apparently causing quite a serious problem. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the studio is having difficulty finding a director for the film because Diesel is a complete pain in the ass to work with.
Furious 3-6 director, Justin Lin, opted out because he's busy making a new Star Trek movie. James Wan, who directed Furious 7 and helped steer the production through the tragic and sudden death of co-star Paul Walker, has reportedly suffered health problems. It wasn't just the stress of the two-year long production, but also Diesel himself. As a producer, the guy "questioned even the small details on elaborate action sequences, often holding up the complex production." And – get this – he "summoned filmmakers to repeated late-night script sessions to make him comfortable with his character and dialogue."
So here are some of Vin Diesel's Oscar-worthy moments from Furious 6. We totally get his commitment to his craft, which consists of wearing a tank top and cheesy one-liners with a dumbass smirk.
