Unveiled last year, the McLaren 620R is essentially a road-legal version of the successful 570S GT4 race car. With a lighter, racing-inspired body than the 600LT and a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 610 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque, the 620R is a highly capable track-focused sports car.

With only 220 examples planned for production, the 620R is already a special and rare car, but if you want yours to truly stand out, renowned tuner Novitec has taken the 620R to a new extreme, adding more power and refining the handling. Three performance kits are available to boost the power of McLaren's 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8.

Two plug-and-play Novitec N-Tronic modules can be adapted to the ECU to change the mapping for the injection, ignition, and boost pressure control. The most powerful package also adds a sportier-sounding high-performance exhaust system, increasing the peak output by 91 hp and 66 lb-ft of torque, resulting in an increased output of 711 hp at 7,400 rpm and 523 lb-ft at 5,250 rpm.

This power boost enables the modified McLaren 620R to rocket from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, down from 2.9 seconds in the standard car, before reaching 124 mph just five seconds later. Top speed increases from 200 mph to 203 mph.

As well as increasing the performance, Novitec has also improved the throttle response to make the 620R even more fun to drive.

Visually, Novitec's McLaren 620R looks more aggressive thanks to a custom body kit that adds two naked-carbon hood scoops, rocker panels that optimize airflow between the front and rear wheel arches, carbon lateral shrouds for the rear fascia, and side mirror covers. These components are available in a composite material or forged carbon. As for the interior, Novitec is offering custom covers for the racing seats made from leather and Alcantara in any desired color. Novitec hasn't released pricing details for the modifications, but the regular McLaren 620R will set you back $299,000.
