It was a sad day for fans of the Buick Regal last week. Opel recently revealed the all-new redesigned Insignia, but the Buick Regal, which is essentially a rebadged Insignia for America, is being discontinued for the 2021 model year. Simply put, the sporty sedan is the latest victim of the crossover craze. Nearly 90 percent of all Buick sales this year have been crossovers, so the Buick Regal's demise was inevitable, sadly.

If you've been on the fence, now is the time to buy a Regal because Buick is currently offering some huge discounts. As seen on the Buick website, the brand is offering a 20 percent discount off "most" Buick Regal TourX MSRPs just in time for the holiday season.

In some cases, you can save up to nearly $8,000 off the Regal. In addition, Buick is also offering zero percent finance deal for 72 months with a $2,500 discount. Both offers must be financed with GM Financial and are only available for "well-qualified buyers."

With incentives including a $2,848 price reduction below MSRP and a $5,087 purchase allowance, the range-topping 2019 Buick Regal TourX AWD Essence is available with a total discount of $7,935, bringing the MSRP price down to $31,740. Buick says these discounts are available for "most" Regal TourX models, but doesn't provide any further details. To give you an idea of the potential savings, the entry-level TourX 1SV starts at $29,995, while the Preferred trim starts at $33,595 and the Essence starts at $35,995.

Similar savings are also available for the Buick Regal Sportback sedan. Buick is also offering 20 percent off the MSRP, which gives you a $7,354 discount off the 2019 Buick Regal Sportback AWD Essence, lowering the MSRP to $26,516. As with the TourX, the Buick Regal Sportback is also available with zero percent finance deal for 72 months with a $2,500 discount.

Both offers must be financed with GM Financial and are only available for "well-qualified buyers." The offer is not available with special finance, lease, and some other offers, per the description. To take advantage of these offers, buyers must take delivery by January 2nd, 2020.
