Getting into a Jaguar F-Type just got slightly easier thanks to a round of price cuts announced by the automaker. Okay, so an F-Type is still expensive as hell but Jag knocked off a couple thousand bucks so be happy! The F-Type coupe now comes in at $61,400 and the convertible is priced at $65,400. Both prices are sans a $995 destination fee, so spike them up to $62,395 and $66,395 respectively. According to Jaguar this isn't a price cut per se. These are apparently new entry level models.

Despite being entry levels these F-Types are still plenty fast and luxurious. The engine is a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 good for 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Top speed is 161 mph and 0 to 60 mph happens in 5.5 seconds if you're going the manual route and 5.1 seconds should you be in an automatic. Other goodies include six-way adjustable partially electric seats. Valet mode (keeps pesky valets from going nuts) and solar attenuating windshield glass are now standard. We knew Jaguar was planning to cut prices and up maintenance coverage-Jaguar's EliteCare five year/60,000 mile plan is standard here-so this news isn't all that shocking. The F-Type is an awesome car, so hopefully this move attracts more would-be buyers.
