The UK automaker is starting to offer some fantastic deals.
With social distancing measures in place due to Covid-19, you may think that car dealerships have closed their doors to new customers. In fact, now may be the greatest time to purchase a new car. Many automakers are currently offering long loan periods with zero-percent financing while others, like Lincoln, are offering new methods to let people buy cars online without stepping foot into a dealership.
Jaguar Land Rover has already helped in the fight against coronavirus by donating its entire Defender press fleet to the Red Cross for use as emergency service vehicles. Now the UK automaker is following the lead of other companies by offering excellent deals for buyers who still want to purchase a new car.
In the United States, qualified buyers can now receive zero-percent financing on all 2020 Jaguar and Land Rover models for 72 months. The deal is also applicable on the 2021 Jaguar F-Type, which is now arriving at US dealers. In addition to the low-rate financing offer, JLR will also implement a Payment Deferral Program where customers can receive a 90-day first payment deferral (for qualifying customers financing through Jaguar Financial Group or Land Rover Financial Group up to $100,000).
JLR is also taking measures to help current lease customers. Any existing lease customers will be allowed to extend the term of their lease agreement for up to six months, allowing extra time and flexibility so they don't have to worry about turning in their current vehicle. JLR says no phone call is required to set up the lease extensions and customers will be notified by letter or email.
Anyone who still wishes to start up a new lease can qualify for a Lease Payment Waiver, which will waive two payments of up to $750 each for eligible returning lessees. All 2020 Jaguar models (including the 2021 F-Type) as well as the 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, Discovery, Range Rover Evoque, and Range Rover Velar qualify for the waiver.
During this Covid-19 crisis, JLR is taking extraordinary caution to keep vehicle sales, service, and parts open for customers. Dealerships are ready to complete the purchase process remotely and can finalize all purchases without the need for customers to leave their homes.
