Literally and figuratively.
OK, so this won’t be for everyone. And if it’s making your eyes bleed then don’t worry, there will be only one. It’s a pickup truck concept, obviously. And it was built by Skoda’s apprentice workers, a bunch of 17 and 18 year olds who called their Fabia-based creation the FUNstar. Great name. It will be on display at the Worthersee GTI meeting next month, where visitors will get to admire the sporty pickup from up close.
Using a frameless body with reinforced side panels and a widened B-pillar, the Skoda students were able to transform the hatchback into a pickup. With 18-inch rims borrowed from the Octavia RS, a 1,400W sound system, touchscreen infotainment system, green LED DRLs, neon underlights, a dual-vented hood and a stainless-steel truck-bed floor, this is a concept we would love to spend time with. So, do you love it or hate it?
