Picture this as a competitor to the Ford Fiesta ST.
Honda was one of the pioneers of building smart and reliable subcompact hatchbacks. Before long those original Civics turned into a sedan and coupe only – in the US at least. Europe, Japan, and various other global markets still have hatchback and wagon variants. Honda has made it clear time and again that it won’t bring either stateside. Damn shame. What Americans do have is the Honda Fit, also known as the Jazz overseas. It’s sort of a combination of a hatchback and a small MPV.
It’s a great car, especially the latest generation, but it still doesn’t have that enthusiast appeal for tuning. Point being, there’s a crack in the market that Honda isn’t taking advantage. Rendering artist Theophilus Chin has recognized that and has come up with an answer. He’s combined design elements of the Fit/Jazz as well as the upcoming Vezel. The result is fantastic, in our opinion. Picture this car with a turbocharged four pot paired to a six-speed manual. Honda can call it whatever it’d like, but we hope it'll consider this one. It’d be a wonderful Ford Fiesta ST competitor.
