Audi has announced official pricing and on sale date for its second all-electric vehicle, the e-tron Sportback. Based on the e-tron SUV, the 2020 Audi e-tron Sportback is its sexier four-door coupe-styled sibling. Prices will start at $77,400 though this doesn't include the $7,500 federal tax credit buyers will be eligible for. To compare, the standard e-tron SUV carries a starting price tag of $74,800. There's also a $995 destination and delivery fee.

To celebrate the vehicle's debut, there will be a limited edition Launch Edition (not pictured here) featuring exclusive Plasma blue metallic exterior paint coupled with dynamic orange brake calipers. The interior boasts Monaco Gray Valcona leather seats with two-toned stitching on the dash and black headliner. Another cool touch is the Edition One puddle lamps that cast a logo onto the ground below driver and passenger doors.

Compared to the e-tron, the Sportback features a flat roofline that drops steeply to the rear at the D-pillars. Despite the sloped rear angle, Audi claims there's still plenty of headroom for backseat passengers. Like the e-tron SUV, there are two rows of seats for up to five passengers. Up front, there's a large Singleframe grille to help make it stand out from the pack, namely the Tesla Model X.

The EPA claims an estimated range of 218 miles on a single charge. The 150 kW rapid charging capability will provide owners with 58 miles of driving in just 10 minutes and 174 miles in 30 minutes.

Power comes from a 95 kWh battery pack positioned in the vehicle's floor for a low center of gravity. Total output comes to 355 horsepower but this increases to 402 hp when Boost Mode is engaged. Expect to reach 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. The quattro all-wheel-drive system is, of course, standard. It also has a near-ideal 50:50 weight distribution which enables more responsive steering and an improved driving experience. Another highlight of the e-tron Sportback's daily usability is that it can tow up to 4,000 pounds with the available towing package.

Sales are set to officially get underway this summer at Audi dealerships across the country.
