Off-road rally car manufacturere Bowler plans on building a road legal SUV based on the Range Rover Sport.
Off-road rally car manufacturer Bowler has become infamous after introducing the highly successful Nemesis Dakar racer. The custom-built Dakar can hold its own ground on just about any terrain. According to managing director Steve Haywood, Bowler is looking to build a "Supercar SUV" based on the Range Rover Sport. Steve used to be a chief engineer at Range Rover and is an expert in the off-road territory. Bowler was recently bought by Spyker owner CPP, who is now negotiating to buy Zagato.
Steve Haywood estimates that there will be a demand of 150-200 off-road vehicles a year from customers who need something stronger than the normal 4x4.
