Renault has just released full details and pictures of their newly introduced Trophy version of their RenaultSport Megan 250. It features an additional 15hp from its 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, for a total of 265hp. This takes about a tenth of a second off of its previous 0 to 62 mph time, which is now recorded at 6.0 seconds flat (instead of 6.1). Remember, this is a front-wheel-drive car, so numbers like these are really solid.
Top speed is also up by 2 mph, totaling out at 159 mph. Other standard features include Recaro seats with yellow seatbelts and 19-inch black Speedline alloys with red detailing. There will only be two exterior color choices, both metallic: Liquid Yellow or Black. Because of engines upgrades, the Trophy is now the most powerful Megan yet, with only 500 units set to be produced (50 of which are right-hand drive for the U.K.). Official U.K. pricing starts at £27,820 and this includes access to all RenaultSport's U.K. 2012 track days.
