Porsche's brand new 911 GT3 Cup race car for 2012 has just been unveiled and it looks successful. By successful, I mean that it looks like it can win races like every other Porsche 911 race car. The GT3 Cup features a new 100-liter FT3 hood-fueled safety fuel tank. The car runs a similar egine to the GT3 RS and puts out 450bhp. A catalytic converter keeps emissions down while the race exhaust system helps the GT3 racer push ahead in the pack.

The 911 GT3 Cup runs on Michelin race tires and is equipped with handy anti-roll bars that are adjustable in seven positions. Porsche gave their new race car their own special Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system which saves over 44 performance-friendly pounds. The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will run the next two seasons in certain one-make cup series. Pricing for the racer is set at €161,750. 2,200 units have already been sold off to private teams.
