Genesis is currently working on a slew of new products, including the brand's first SUV, the GV80, which will be followed by a smaller SUV called the GV70. But before either of those two SUVs arrive, Genesis will reveal a heavily facelifted version of its flagship G90 sedan. While this announcement didn't come as much of a shock given the G90 facelift has already appeared in markets like South Korea and Canada, it is nice to know the US will be receiving it as well.

Strangely, those other markets have been enjoying the refreshed G90 for a while now, while the US was left to wait. We are happy to report while attending the 2019 Miami Auto Show, Genesis confirmed the facelifted 2020 G90 will make its US debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20th.

Genesis gave us a sneak peek of the car but asked that we not take any pictures. What we can tell you is that it looks just like the facelifted car, pictured above, we've seen in the other markets. This means the US-spec car will receive the new triangular grille, split headlights, and taillight design. Genesis says the 2020 model is so new in fact, it only shares its roof and doors with the outgoing 2019 car.

We did receive a bit of information on pricing but were asked to keep it a secret (for now). As for the engine options, it appears as though the 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 should return producing 365 horsepower and the 5.0-liter V8 should also be available sporting 420 hp. We'll have to wait until Genesis reveals the car next month to confirm the availability of both engines.

The options list should be pretty short according to Genesis spokesperson Kevin Smith, who was present in Miami. "It will pretty much come fully-loaded as standard," Smith said, referring to both the luxury and safety features. "At Genesis, safety is not an option."

The car we saw did have those radical new wheels but Smith told us "you can select the 2019 wheels" if the new ones aren't to your taste. "I hope people go for the new wheels, they just suit the car so well," Smith added. We look forward to sharing the full specs (along with pricing) of the 2020 Genesis G90 on November 20th.
