Swizz Beats is bumping a new beat as Lotus VP.
Lotus has a brand new VP in rap entrepreneur Swizz Beats. Born Kasseem Daoud Dean, he got his start working with the Ruff Ryders record label and found early success producing DMX's smash hit 'Ruff Ryda's Anthem.' Since his early days producing, he embarked on a solo career and even put out a hit single "It's Me Bitches." Since then he has gotten married to R&B singer Alicia Keys and now has received a dream job from British automaker Lotus.
Lotus says "He's a risk taker with considerable credentials, including music producer, rapper, designer and painter. He's the perfect man to add to the Lotus lineup." Swizz Beats was just announced as VP of Lotus by CEO Dany Bahar, who must have been attracted to his background in design and his crossover image as a rap star. Lotus want's to capture the top spot in terms of luxury sports cars and with five new models coming out. Officially named the "Vice President of Creative Design and Global Marketing," Swizz will have his work cut out for him trying to dethrone such mainstays as Porsche and BMW.
