On Second Thoughts, 2016 Focus RS Will Actually Be AWD

More importantly, it's coming our way.

With what is expected to be an extremely exciting model, the rumors, speculations and leaked sources surrounding the 2016 Focus RS are endless. Just last month, we reported that the upcoming RS had been finally designated as a front-wheel drive model, but now, there is another surprising twist in the plot. According to a report in Road & Track, the EcoBoost-equipped, 325-plus-horsepower-producing RS will actually be sending its power to all four wheels.

We also expect an impressive body kit and exhaust to easily differentiate the model from its lesser ST siblings. More importantly perhaps, it seems increasingly likely that the Focus RS will make it to American shores, albeit in very limited numbers.
