The title says it all. Only a day or so before Ford is scheduled to officially unveil their highly anticipated 2013 Fusion, these leaked photos have just hit the web, courtesy of Czech site autoforum. cz. For those who didn't already know, the new Fusion will be identical to the Mondeo, one of Ford of Europe's most respected and best-selling models for many years. This is all part of the automaker's 'One Ford' global design strategy.

In other words, the car will be sold as a Fusion in North American and a Mondeo in Europe and a few other countries. From what's clearly obvious, the new Fusion/Mondeo takes many design cues from the Ford Evos concept shown last September at the Frankfurt Auto Show. While that concept was met with an overall positive reaction, many were quick to point out (rightly so) that the front-end styling was a near dead-ringer for an Aston Martin. We like where Ford design is heading, but the similarities between them and Aston Martin (who used to be a part of Ford) are clear.

Regardless, power will likely come from either a 1.6 or 2.0-liter EcoBoost engines along with the familiar hybrid and a new plug-in hybrid model. We'll have full details and official photos shortly from Detroit.
