Last year at the 2018 Beijing Auto Show, McLaren unveiled the 570GT MSO Cabbeen Collection. Designed by McLaren Special Operations, the bespoke 570GT was created to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Only five were slated for production in China, but a sixth and final model has been created specifically for the US market.

The special model recently made its debut at the annual Lunar New Year celebration in Los Angeles and will go on sale exclusively through the McLaren Beverly Hills dealership.

This specific 570GT has a special VIN ending in 888888 to commemorate the Lunar New Year: Year of the Pig. McLaren Special Operations collaborated with Chinese fashion designer and entrepreneur, Mr. Cabbeen, to create the 570GT MSO Cabbeen Collection, which features distinctive Chinese design elements. It's finished in MSO Bespoke Obsidian Black paint complemented by a dragon design that was hand-painted in Gloss Speedline Gold on both door inserts. It also features new 15-spoke GT wheels and brake calipers finished in Gloss Speedline Gold.

Inside, the cabin is adorned with unique vivid sculptural dragons embroidered in golden Alcantara on the center front tunnel and the rear luggage deck, as well as MSO Defined carbon sill covers. Designed by Mr. Cabbeen, the dragon motifs are an example of Chao Embroidery, which is recognized as part of China's cultural heritage.

Like all McLaren 570GTs, power is provided by a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine that produces 562 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, enabling the McLaren Sports Series to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds, before maxing out at 204 mph. Compared to the 570S, the GT version features an extra luggage compartment and a softer setup.
