An example of the highly-desirable Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 will be auctioned off for charity at Barrett Jackson's upcoming Las Vegas 2023 event, which will take place between June 22-24 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Wealthy bidders will have the opportunity to get their hands on one of the greatest muscle cars ever built. When running on E85 ethanol fuel, the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 produces an astonishing 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque. As a result, this gas-powered dinosaur can sprint to 60 mph in a mere 1.66 seconds - making it quicker than the Rimac Nevera.

As the last of its breed, the Challenger SRT Demon 170 is a highly desirable car. Dodge only plans on making 3,000 units for the American market, so getting your hands on one will be difficult.

But if your coffers run deep, Barrett Jackson's special auction will let you get your hands on this sought-after beast. The winning bid will not only net you the car, but also the opportunity to paint it in a custom color (essentially making it a one-of-one vehicle) and select from the four different interior styles, carbon fiber wheels, and graphics options.

What's more, if you already own a 2018 SRT Demon, the automaker will even grant your request to match the 170's VIN - provided the matching number is still available. Dodge offers several options for the Demon 170, including the $5,995 Premium Package, navigation for $995, and an absurdly priced $9,995 sunroof option. Dodge deliberately made it expensive to discourage owners from selecting a sunroof as it "goes against the ethos of the vehicle" but made it available to customers who really desire it.

Aside from the opportunity to choose a custom exterior color, the Demon 170 will arrive with a personalized Demon decanter and a custom instrument panel badge. We wouldn't be surprised if the vehicle in question sells for five times as much as the $96,666 base MSRP, and we certainly hope it does. All proceeds will be donated to Krisi House, a Florida-based 501 (c)(3) non-profit that provides treatment and a healing environment for child trauma, as well as educational services.

Previously, Barrett Jackson charity cars have sold for massive amounts of money. The first Mustang GT sold for $565,000 earlier this year, with the sale benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. In April, the first-ever Corvette E-Ray sold for an impressive $1,100,000. In both instances, the buyers will receive VIN 001 of these respective vehicles, which is worth its weight in gold.
