Several aftermarket tuners were planning to showcase their latest extreme tuning projects to the world at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show last month, but these reveals were delayed after the event was abruptly canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Germany's Hofele Design has already shown off its luxurious take on the Mercedes EQC electric SUV, and now the tuner has unveiled its new one-off Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet that offers new "level of luxury and exclusivity."

To spruce up the exterior, Hofele has finished the AMG E53 Cabriolet in high gloss Royal Peacock Blue metallic with contrasting Piano Black gloss sections applied to the front and rear bumpers. Additional chrome accents have also been applied to the front grille and front bumper air intake surrounds. The luxury chrome theme continues throughout the exterior, from the unique hood centerline trim to the rear trunk finish and side mirrors.

There's also a striking chrome strip on the side profile, which starts as an aerodynamic faux air vent and runs down the entire length of the car, giving the car an elegant yet sporty look. Other exterior enhancements include new 'Turbine' forged alloy wheels that were also fitted to Hofele's modified EQC. The 21-inch wheels are finished in high gloss silver with polished front lines that blend with the luxury design enhancements.

Inside, the bespoke cabriolet features an exquisite cabin adorned with high-quality materials, with 'Royal Blue' and contrasting 'Magnolia' Nappa leather throughout. All surfaces including the cabriolet roof cover, the upper and lower dashboards, the seat frame and the interior door panels have been given the bespoke treatment, while the original plastic interior surfaces have been replaced with high-quality materials.

No performance modifications have been made, meaning the AMG E53 Cabriolet's 3.0-liter turbo straight-six has been left stock with 429 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through a nine-speed automatic transmission, allowing the luxury convertible to sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds and top out at 155 mph.

Hofele is only planning to build one example, so whoever buys it will become the owner of a truly unique Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet. The German tuner hasn't confirmed how much this lavish convertible will cost, but the standard Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet starts at $81,650, The example for sale is also the show car that was going to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show last month.
