One-Off Rolls-Royce Ghost In Champagne Rose Is Pink Perfection

Design / 9 Comments

The bespoke color can never be used again, but we don't think too many future customers will mind.

Few automakers will let you order a car in pink, but Rolls-Royce isn't in the business of saying "no" to its customers. This bespoke 2023 Rolls-Royce Ghost is finished in a one-of-one color called Champagne Rose, created as a nod to the owner's artistic success. The South Florida-based musician goes by Champagne Rose on Instagram, where she currently has over three million followers. Rolls-Royce says she spent four days choosing which model would be ideal for her bespoke build, eventually landing on the Ghost since she could enjoy driving it or being chauffeured.

"Color is more than visual in design. Choosing color is a wonderful expression of one's personality and how one views life. This commission was an intimate expression for our client, Champagne Rose, and the challenge of creating a perfectly uniform and singular tone of color was a magnificent challenge to our team. It's an honor to share this vision, one that is so personal and essential to her identity," said Gwilym Flint Roberts, Rolls-Royce Bespoke.

Creating this unique shade was no simple task. The search began with a mood board containing nearly 100 pink color swatches, which was eventually narrowed down to 30 before the final hue was selected. The finished product contains a Crystal finish, hand-painted coachline with 'Champagne Rose' inscription, and matching wheel centers.

A bespoke paint job like this deserves an equally outrageous interior, so Champagne Rose didn't settle for a black interior with a few pink accents. Instead, all the leather is a matching pink with Piano Black veneers, black piping, and a few other black surfaces to break up the cabin.

The lambswool carpets are also finished in Champagne Rose. Rolls-Royce says it took the specialists at the Interior Trim Center in Goodwood six months to perfectly match the leather to the exterior. They even ran sun-simulation testing to make sure the color will hold up in the Florida sun.

As a special touch for Champagne Rose, the back seat waterfall includes a rose motif on the drinks cooler door. This motif is mirrored with embroidery on the picnic tables in a process that took 30 collective hours and 5,500 individual stitches.

The rose pattern is also visibile in the Bespoke Starlight Headliner. Doing so required Rolls-Royce to spend 60 hours repositioning 482 of the 1,132 fiber-optic lights.

Rolls-Royce did not say how much Champagne Rose spent on this bespoke commission, but given the extensive work that went into creating a one-of-one color, we'd say this car was almost certainly more than double the cost of a standard Ghost, which starts at $393,500. Exclusivity like this never comes cheap.
