Only Two 2019 Nissan Pathfinder Trim Levels Have Not Increased In Price

Pricing / Comments

That's good news for some buyers.

New model year vehicles are beginning to arrive in dealerships. Some will be all-new designs or facelifts, others won't have changed at all from the previous year. But that doesn't mean the price will remain the same, especially if the carmaker has thrown in some more standard equipment. Today, Nissan has released official pricing for its 2019 Pathfinder crossover, which has a base MSRP of $32,230 - exactly $190 more than last year.

This price is specifically for the Pathfinder S front-wheel-drive model. Like before, all new Pathfinders, regardless of trim, can be had with either front- or all-wheel drive configurations. Trim levels also remain the same for 2019: S, SV, SL, and Platinum.

Although there's a slight bump in price (not including the $995 destination and handling fee), will buyers benefit from additional standard features? Safety technology features such as intelligent cruise control, blind spot warning, and rear cross traffic alert are now standard on the SV trim. The SL and Platinum also receive standard LED headlights. Fortunately, all trims will now come standard with a rear sonar system, new USB type-C ports, and one new exterior paint color, Mocha Almond Pearl.

Like last year's model, the 2019 Pathfinder will continue to come standard with automatic emergency braking, the clever rear door alert system designed to remind owners if there's anything left in the rear seat such as children, and a 3.5-liter V6 rated at 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque.

Maximum towing is rated at up to 6,000 pounds. All 2019 Pathfinder trim levels have slightly higher price tags this year with the exception of two: Platinum front- and all-wheel drive. Like last year, both continue to be priced from $42,570 and $44,260.

The Nissan Pathfinder used to be a rough and ready SUV, but this latest generation, launched in 2013 and facelifted for 2017, rides on the same platform that underpins the Maxima sedan, among other Nissans. The 2019 Nissan Pathfinder is now on sale in dealerships across the US.
