A German tuning firm gives the Opel Astra Nurburgring Edition a unique foil wrap and some mechanical upgrades.
German customization firm WRAPworks has recently completed work on its latest project, based on the Opel Astra OPC Nurburgring edition. Starting off with a stock Opel Astra OPC, the tuner foiled every part of the hot hatch's body, a task that required for the car to be largely disassembled. Titan metallic and high-gloss red were the chosen exterior colors and a digital checkered printing in carbon style was especially singled out for the hood. All told, the car delivers 240 horsepower.
Mechanical upgrades include a Remus exhaust system that's normally installed on the car's sister model, the Vauxhall Astra VXR, a lowering kit featuring Eibach springs and an adjustable rear axle stabilizer. Also added were yellow fog lights and four-point seat belts. A new set of rims rounds out the package. WRAPworks claims the foil job alone costs 1,250 Euros, but neither a price for the rest of the work, nor an official on-sale date were given.
