Opel Corsa Gets Adam-Look Facelift

Opel ditches plans for an all-new Corsa but makes room for a few new improvements.

While we expected Opel to roll out a brand new Corsa, it appears from these spy shots such plans have been shelved in favor of a long-overdue facelift. The current, fourth-gen Corsa has been around since 2006 and the decision to update instead of replace the supermini is doubtless a result of Europe's perilous economic situation. Visual enhancements look limited to a new front end, made up of a freshly-styled front grille split by Opel's chromed logo, heavily inspired by the new Adam city car.

The updated Corsa's interior has also borrowed style elements from the Adam, with a new center console, a modern interface and new instrument panel. We expect the facelifted Corsa to debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September, if not sooner at Geneva in March.
