Opel Insignia OPC is Ready for Frankfurt

Spy Shots

A “stronger” version of the Insignia OPC has been spied completely undisguised.

Carmakers are working round the clock to get their wares ready for the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. Opel, it seems, is ahead of schedule as these spy shots of its high-performance Insignia demonstrate. The OPC variant, seen here in Sports Tourer guise, is expected to be powered by a 2.8-liter turbo V6 rated at 400 hp, a significant increase on the 325 hp the outgoing model manages. A retuned suspension, upgraded brakes and optimized AWD system will handle all that added juice, while revised exterior and interior styling keeps it looking fresh.
