The close cooperation between the Opel and Buick branches of the GM family has been getting tighter and tighter over the last few years, with cars like the Opel Insignia and Buick Regal basically serving as identical cousins. As such, the stunning Opel Monza concept, revealed at Frankfurt 2013 and shown again at the Paris Motor Show just last week, should indicate the design direction for the future Regal as well when it hits the American market.

As Opel Chief Karl-Thomas Neumann told Automotive News, "You will see the Monza when you see the next Insignia." It still isn't clear when the next Insignia is set to arrive, but we do know that it will debut prior to the next Regal, which is due in 2017.
