While last year's Goodwood Festival of Speed commemorated the 70th anniversary of Porsche, Bentley will be celebrating its centenary at this year's event with a special gathering of some of the most iconic models from its past and present. Turns out Bentley won't be the only manufacturer celebrating a big milestone at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed, because Pagani also turns 20 this year – and it's going to be celebrating in style.
Pagani will be gathering a record number of Pagani Zonda and Huayra models together at Goodwood this year, which is said to be "the largest collection ever seen in Great Britain." Cars and owners will be traveling from locations including New Zealand, the USA and Hong Kong specifically for the event. Company founder Horacio Pagani will even make an appearance, while almost 30 examples of Pagani's incredible hypercars will be on display with a combined value of around £100 million ($126 million).
On the morning of July 4, the first day of the Festival, a convoy of Paganis will head down to Goodwood from London. A record 20 Zonda hypercars will then head up the famous Festival of Speed Hillclimb, with one car representing each year since the first Zonda arrived in 1999.
Five of the "most significant Zonda models" will also be on display outside of the Goodwood Club's exclusive GRRC Kinrara enclosure, including the very first Zonda built, the famous Chassis #1 C25 of 1999, a 2005 Zonda F, 2009 Zonda Cinque, 2010 Zonda Tricolore and 2018 Zonda HP Barchetta, which is one of only three models ever made and the world's most expensive new car at launch at £15 million ($18 million).
Guests at the Festival of Speed will also get to see a recently restored Zonda R in action, which will tackle the Goodwood Hillclimb as part of the Supercar Run. A sold-out Pagani Huayra Roadster will also be on display at the Kinrara enclosure, and special 20th anniversary merchandise will be available for hardcore Pagani enthusiasts. Finally, on Friday July 5 Pagani UK will be staging an exclusive 20th anniversary 'birthday party' on the West Sussex coast near Goodwood, with fireworks and a "few surprises in store for the lucky guests."
