Pagani Zonda Makes History With 20th Birthday Celebration

Anniversary / 6 Comments

The Italian hypercar brand set to take over the iconic location for an entire week, from Nov 1.

The Pagani Zonda, considered one of the most beautiful hypercars of the 21st century is celebrating its 20th birthday in style. Not only has the Zonda broken lap time records, but it is fast becoming one of the most sought after investment cars globally.

Despite the fact that the Zonda was never made available in the US, the design and performance levels set by this Italian icon have gone on to set benchmarks in hypercar design the world over by expertly and elegantly combining the science of speed with the art of design.

"As part of Pagani's worldwide Zonda 20th Anniversary celebrations, the Zonda Collection was always coming to America. When faced with the task of finding a suitable location for such a prestigious display, we performed an extensive search of the country's most iconic venues to find one that represented the same spirit of engineering, ingenuity and passion that went into the first 20 years of the Zonda," said Michael Staskin, CEO, Pagani Automobili America.

"What we found was Grand Central Terminal, a globally recognized hub of transportation, iconic history, timeless design and passion in one of the world's greatest cities, New York."

Pagani could not have chosen a better location to celebrate; more than 750,000 people pass through the Grand Central Terminal on a daily basis, and this event will be one for the books: this display marks the second time in history that the Grand Central will be used to display a number of vehicles of such an important nature. To make this special event possible, Grand Central Terminal will take the unusual step of shutting down from 2-5 AM on November 1, 2019. During this time, five Zondas - Zonda 001 (the very first Pagani production car), Zonda F, Zonda R, Zonda Cinque, and Zonda HP Barchetta - will be moved into Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal. Members of the public will be able to drool over the collection of hypercars from November 1-8, but Pagani has planned a series of private events for VIP guests, media and Pagani dealers and their clients.

Pagani is thrilled to give North American enthusiasts the opportunity to see these vehicles in the flesh before they move on to the next leg of their international tour, and with some of the cars on display valued as high as $18 million, it is sure to be a memorable experience.
