Pagani Zonda Roadster F

The Zonda Roadster F debuted at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show and like its coupe sibling, production will be limited. Word is that only a total of 25 were built at a price over $300,000. Unlike other roadsters, this one is faster than the coupe. With its removable carbon fiber roof, weight is lost and power is increased by five horsepower. Instead of adding weight by reinforcing the structure, Pagani used other lightweight materials and innovative thinking to strengthen the chassis.

Total weight comes in at just 2,712 lbs. This serves as a model for not just Pagani, but also other automakers when they cut the roofs off their high performance coupes. In other words, maintaining performance can be done - it just takes a bit of thinking from that mass of tissue called the brain.
